On Friday, February 25, 2022, Midnimo College’s Nursing Department students, accompanied by faculty members, visited the Salama campus in Galdogob. This humanitarian initiative aimed to provide essential medical equipment, medications, and health checkups to residents who are unable to access medical centers due to various challenges.

Under the guidance of Ustad Yasin Xasan Nuur and Dr. Hashim Abdulahi Hashi, the students distributed medicines—including tablets, syrups, injections, and medical supplies such as needles—to the sick individuals in the community. Dr. Hashim led the medical examinations and, along with the students, administered treatments to those in need.

In addition to offering medical aid, the students conducted health awareness sessions for the campus residents. They educated the community about the prevention and management of dangerous diseases that are prevalent in the area, such as Typhoid, Malaria, Measles, and Tuberculosis. These efforts aim to reduce the spread of these serious illnesses by empowering individuals with knowledge about symptoms, prevention strategies, and when to seek medical help.

The faculty and students of Midnimo College are deeply committed to supporting people who lack access to essential healthcare services. They are dedicated to continuing this vital work without seeking any external support, driven by a shared sense of responsibility and compassion.

“Inshallah, we will continue this work as long as we can,” the team expressed, reaffirming their ongoing commitment to the community.

Midnimo College extends heartfelt thanks to all who participated in this noble endeavor. Special appreciation goes to Dr. Hashim Abdulahi Hashi, Ustad Yasin Xasan Nuur, and the dedicated students whose efforts have made a significant impact on the lives of many.
